Join Anjeanette Roberts at the RTB Austin, TX Chapter meeting on Saturday, February 8. She will be speaking on the topic “Unequivocating Evolution,” examining the claim that there is more evidence for evolution than for Earth revolving around the Sun. In this talk, Anjeanette will help us consider the strengths and weaknesses of the scientific data supporting five kinds of evolution: chemical evolution, microevolution, microbial evolution, speciation, and macroevolution. We’ll look at how to draw conclusions based on the data—not on a philosophical paradigm—to determine which categories of evolution are well-evidenced and which are still challenges for a complete neo-Darwinian account for the history of life on Earth.
